Glenn Fischer grew up in Tsawwassen, British Columbia, but his heart has long belonged to Las Vegas. After dozens of visits to the city, he developed a deep appreciation for its history, its larger-than-life personalities, and the hidden world that exists behind the neon.
Originally conceived as a screenplay, The Showgirl evolved into a novel while retaining its cinematic pacing, sharp dialogue, and visual storytelling. Drawing on years of research and firsthand experience exploring the city's casinos, landmarks, and colorful past, Glenn blends authentic Las Vegas detail with compelling fiction.
Fascinated by the contrast between glamour and vulnerability, he writes stories that explore ordinary people caught in extraordinary circumstances. The Showgirl combines romance, suspense, and Vegas noir against the backdrop of one of the most dramatic nights in Las Vegas history.
Glenn continues to live in British Columbia, while returning to Las Vegas whenever he can in search of the stories waiting just beyond the spotlight.
